NSD Summer Institute 2024

This workshop is for educators who are interested in developing critical thinking. In this presentation, we will (1) define critical thinking, (2) review common reasons people make critical thinking mistakes, and (3) identify specific traits and skills that enhance critical thinking. We will then engage in a cogenerative prcoess where educators develop or adapt a learning activity to show me how these broader critical thinking goals can be vitalized in different subject matters and with different age groups. Ancient aliens the primary theme this year, but we can return to flat Earth and other pseudoscientific domains as desired.
